Dr. Mark Kennet, CEO of LECOM & Associates Limited is a key associate of EKonomics LLC. Since earning his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1989, Dr. Kennet has served on the faculties of University of California, Santa Cruz, Tulane University, Johns Hopkins University, and George Washington University, as well as worked as a researcher for the Bureau of Labor Statistics and the Federal Communications Commission. A co-developer of the widely-cited LECOM and HCPM cost models, Dr. Kennet has published extensively in economics and telecommunications policy journals on a variety of regulatory and econometric subjects. Dr. Kennet, who speaks Spanish, has also performed consulting services for several State governments, the World Bank (Argentina and Peru), and the governments of Mexico and Portugal. Currently, Dr. Kennet is serving as a senior economic advisor to Osiptel, the Peruvian telecom regulatory agency.
